What is scooter ?



A scooter (also referred to as a motor scooter to avoid confusion with kick scooter, but not to be confused with a motorized scooter) is a type of motorcycle with a step-through frame and a platform for the rider's feet.

Scooters are small, lightweight bikes powered by engines that typically range from 50cc to 250cc in displacement. They feature step-through designs and bodywork that shields riders from messy engine parts. With the invention of steam engines and bicycles, 19th century scientists quickly realized that combining of these two technologies could substantially improve transport on public roads. First wave of motorized bicycles started appearing only few short years after the premiere of  Pierre Michaux  famous  bicycle  pedal bike and lasted to mid-1880s.
